If you are holidaying in Tavira this year, then you have chosen a wonderful Algarve resort for your well earned break. You will no doubt be spending most of your time on the beach, basking in the sunny Tavira weather, and simply relaxing in the sun. If you get bored, however, you might be looking for an attraction or two to visit. One such place might just be the Pego do Inferno waterfall, which is located just four kilometres outside the town. With car park, picnic area, café and bar, this pretty waterfall makes a pleasant place to stay and swim. The cooling waters are a relief from the scorching Algarve weather. Tavira is roughly midway between Faro and the Spanish border and is 38km from Ayamonte, 40km from Faro and a driving distance of 300km from Lisbon.
