Honiton Devon

Honiton Devon – Honiton is a town in the county of Devon in England. It lies on the River Otter, 27 miles north-east of Exeter and is part of District of East Devon. In the Domesday Book of William the Conqueror in the year 1086, is at this point, a farmstead called Honetone out, which means ” farmstead of a man called Huna”. The town has a population of just under 11,200 residents and is an important Devon market town, with the bobbin lace and Honiton Pottery products which have made ​​a name for the town. Events in Honiton include the Hot Pennies ceremony which takes place every year in July. Honiton is to the north-east of Ottery St Mary and the coastal town of Sidmouth.
